Proposal at Kelly Tarltons Sealife Aquarium

When Nawar first reached out to me with the idea of proposing at Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium, I knew this was going to be something truly special. A proposal surrounded by the magic of the ocean, with sharks, rays, and vibrant marine life gliding past, felt like something straight out of a dream. After months of planning, the big day had finally arrived—and what a breathtaking moment it was!

Maryam had no idea what was waiting for her. She arrived at the aquarium blindfolded, her heart racing with excitement. As we gently guided her through the quiet, dimly lit tunnels, the anticipation built with every step. The only sounds were the faint bubbling of the water and the soft hum of the exhibits. Then, finally, we stopped.

As she removed her blindfold, she gasped. Before her stretched a beautiful red carpet, lined with flickering candlelights, leading towards an illuminated “Marry Me” sign glowing softly in the underwater blue light. And at the very end of the path, standing in front of the sign with a look of pure love and anticipation, was Nawar, waiting for her.

The flickering candles, the deep blue glow of the aquarium, and the surreal sight of sharks and rays drifting gracefully overhead—it was nothing short of cinematic. With each step down the candlelit aisle, the moment became more and more real.

By the time she reached him, Nawar took her hands in his, looking into her eyes as he lowered himself onto one knee. In that intimate, dreamlike moment—just the two of them, surrounded by the silent beauty of the ocean—he asked her the most important question of their lives.

The entire aquarium seemed to glow with their joy. After an emotional embrace, the two of them stood there, soaking in the magic of the moment while I captured it all. The glowing aquarium lights, the romantic candlelit setup, and the deep love between them made for some of the most incredible photographs I’ve ever taken.

After the proposal, we explored the aquarium for a stunning engagement photoshoot, taking full advantage of the exclusive access. From breathtaking portraits beneath the Ocean Tunnel, where sharks and stingrays floated silently overhead, to intimate moments near the glowing jellyfish tanks, every shot told the story of their love in the most dreamy, underwater-inspired setting.

This was more than just a proposal—it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A love story as deep and breathtaking as the ocean itself.
